Luke Morton 

Semper Reformanda Records is proud to have singer/songwriter Luke Morton on its roster. Luke's debut album “No More to Fear” will stir the heart and mind with sparse and beautiful acoustic arrangements that take the listener from fear to faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ.  Luke is pursuing a Master of Divinity at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife, Karen. He has led worship in a variety of venues from camps to college campuses to the church on Sunday morning. During his undergraduate years at the University of Washington, he was one of the Chief Musicians for Reformed University Fellowship, where he wrote and recorded an album of worship songs.

It is a rare thing to find musicians in the church that take the subject of theology seriously, and are willing to pursue a degree to better understand Scripture to insure that the songs they are offering up to God in worship rightly reflect back to Him the glory of His worth. Luke sees worship as a three-fold artistic expression: It demonstrates to God our gratitude for all that He is in His character and actions, It develops in the community of the redeemed a strength and encouragement not found in isolation from one another, and it declares to the world the glory and beauty of their Creator and His grace in the person of Jesus Christ. All of this, says Luke, must be reinforced by music that is both excellent and contextualized to its place and time.
